Below is my recipe for Black Beans Chili. It is just right meal for this unexpected Florida cold weather.

Black Beans Chili
Ingredients
4 can black beans
1-can dark kidney beans
1 can diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon dried cilantro
1 tablespoon of lime juice
2 cups ham, chopped
1 package McCormick Mex-Tex chili powder
1 /½ teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 /½cup vegetable broth/stock
2 teaspoons of corn starch
Directions
- In 5 – 6 quart Dutch oven combine all other ingredients. Stir well.
- Cook on level 5 to a high boil for 15 minutes; stir occasionally, then reduce heat to level 3, add corn starch and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid food from sticking to pot.
- Remove from heat and serve over rice
