How to Blend Your Natural Hair to Your Front Lace Wig and Create a Fake Scalp Line

Hello, Darlings

Evelyn here.

As you ladies know there are a lot of good wigs and hair care products out there. However, these days front lace wigs are the thing. Whether it is long, short, or a bob, front lace wigs are what is selling today. Because these wigs come in many styles, colors, and range in grades from the human hair, human hair blends, and high-end synthetics, they appeal to young and older women, alike.

Front lace wigs are easy to apply, with or without glue, and their colors and scalp lines blend in well for most women, but on occasion, there is the one wig that needs a little tweeting to look a bit more natural, particularly if you want to wear front lace wig that is lighter or darker than your natural hair.
As you know makeup supplies are numerous and finding the right ones to use should be easy because you already have them at home. Therefore, using them to create the perfect hairline and scalp line should be of no extra cost.

Here are some easy steps you can use to combat this blending problem.

  1. Placed and secure the front lace wig on your head (I prefer to secure mine with hairpins or bobby pins)
  2. Use any combination of eyeliner, eye shadow, foundation makeup, blemish concealed, or even a bronzer. Blend them into your natural hair to match the edges of the front lace wig. The lighter the wig’s color, the lighter the blending process. Be creative and don’t be afraid. It can be done.
  3. Use some clear edging gel to create those fine baby hairs that blend into the front and side of the front lace wig. If you have an application of colored edging gel that matches use that instead.
  4. Then take your blemish concealed and eye shadows and blend them into the scalp area of the wig until you get a match between your own and the wig that looks natural to you.

And there you have it. A well-blended front lace wig at the cost of the makeup supplies you already own.

It’s all a color game, but worth it.

Until next time,

Chow Darlings.
